Knit Pro Zing range are my favourites at the moment and their crochet hooks appeal to me in the same way. Single ended in aluminium with each size a different colour. A simply stunning yarn from Krea Deluxe but I may be biased because I love lace yarns, natural fibres and soft, restful colours. This yarn ticks all those boxes and can be used on it’s own or with another. It works well with the Krea wool as well as with silk or other natural yarns but does look and feel stunning on it’s own. I am in love and want to snaffle it all.
Each ball is 20g/240m. 45% silk, 33% mohair, 22% baby alpaca.
Handwash and do not tumble dry.

A huge part of The Lace Knittery is our commitment to the environment. We stock traceable and ethical produced only and when dyeing our yarns all we leave is clear water. We were delighted to find Kremke Soul Wool from Germany. Karma Cotton is a DK weight yarn, it feels bouncy and very soft with a lovely range of colours but the best bit…it’s totally recycled. 70% is recycled cotton clothing and 30% is polyamide, recycled PET bottles…yay!
Each ball is 50g/105m
Recommended needle/hook size 3-4mm
30degree wash.

A beautiful mulesing free merino from Kremke Soul wool. It is lace weight 30/2 with 750m on each spool. One would be enough to knit a cobweb scarf but the range of colours work really well when combining and working graduated colour work. They can be used together, work extremely well with the Kremke Stellaris and also with any other yarn.
Each spool is 50g/750m. Washable at 30 degrees.
If used on it’s own 1.5-2mm needle or hook and 40stitches x 50 rows for a standard 10cm/4inch gauge square.

Another great book from Marie using Jamieson of Shetland Spindrift yarn (at The Lace Knittery we stock all 220+ colours) featuring colour work, lace designs, surface work and all in a beautiful to look at book.
We love a good hat pattern at The Lace Knittery and this book is full of them. From a range of designers there is something for everyone with fifteen in total using colour work and surface design. It also reminds me of trips to Loch Lomond and the stunning scenery.
In the word’s of The Lace Knittery’s youngest daughter ‘I want to knit every one’. Another great collection of eight hand knits from Marie Wallin for Rowan. It includes colour work, Fair Isle, and cable patterns.
The fourth collection by Marie Wallin for Rowan and this time exclusively for the wee ones. It is adorable with vintage inspired designs ranging from ages 2 to 10. Even though children at The Lace Knittery are now grown up young ladies it still makes me want to knit the designs.
