  • Fernhill fibre naturally dyed yarns

    £12.00

Fernhill is a farm a few miles away from The Lace Knittery and it is a special place to visit. They farm holistically and organically and have transformed the soil on the farm. The sheep breeds have been selected as most suitable for the environment and they are breed for the quality of their fleece. It is a magical place.

The yarn is spun into a two ply just over the border in Wales meaning total yarn mileage to The Lace Knittery is kept to a minimum.
This yarn forms part of The Lace Knittery Natural Selection where we naturally dye in house. The dyes are either foraged locally (often from the garden or outside The Lace Knittery HQ) or ethically sourced. At the end of the dyeing process only clear water is left.

Each skein is 100g/405m lace weight. It is soft to work with and easy to use.

  • Fyberspates Vivacious DK yarn

    £18.20

This DK yarn from Fyberspates is something special. It is 100% superwash merino wool from Peru (no mulesing!) and is variegated. The dyeing process is twofold making each skein unique. If you want to use more than one in a project just alternate the skeins.

One skein will easily make a scarf and the feel and drape is superb. At The Lace Knittery we have used it in a variety of projects and the colour variations does not distract from any surface design.

  • Krea Deluxe silk mohair yarn

    £10.75

A simply stunning yarn from Krea Deluxe but I may be biased because I love lace yarns, natural fibres and soft, restful colours. This yarn ticks all those boxes and can be used on it’s own or with another. It works well with the Krea wool as well as with silk or other natural yarns but does look and feel stunning on it’s own. I am in love and want to snaffle it all.

Each ball is 20g/240m. 45% silk, 33% mohair, 22% baby alpaca.
Handwash and do not tumble dry.
